ABOUT THE FILM
Don’t Be Alarmed is an intimate portrait of a generation in crisis. It is a coming-of-age story and an exploration of friendship, defiance, and the mental toll of living one step away from arrest.
The film follows a tight-knit group of young activists in Scotland fighting against environmental and social collapse. As disaster looms, they turn to activism, but civil disobedience comes at a cost. Arrests, sleepless nights, and creeping doubts test their loyalty and mental resilience.
Can their group survive the strain? Drawing strength from Scotland’s rebellious history and ancient myths, they face a system that criminalises dissent, forcing them to confront what it really means to grow up when fighting for the people and the planet’s future might cost them their own.

We need your help to make this film!
Here’s the good news: we’ve already filmed it. Our director Chris and a small, dedicated crew have spent almost two years alongside the group, gathering a treasure trove of close-up, exciting, raw footage. Editing, sound design, colour grading, animation, and music: that’s what you’ll be funding. In return, we’ll deliver a finished film we can share with you, with Scotland, with the UK, and hopefully with audiences everywhere!
We can only make this film a reality if it’s funded by individuals like you. That means financial support from people who want to see this story told. This approach will also allow us to create the honest, grounded narrative we’ve always intended for Don’t Be Alarmed.
Please donate if you can, and if you’re not able to, it would mean the world if you could share this with your friends, family and network.
